DMC Detailed Write up - Jaguar XK Convertible

Firstly please check out our other detailed write-ups, for a full list of cars please go here:
This Jag was detailed by myself early April this year: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=259717&highlight=Jaguar
The owner of the car found a couple of small rust spots appearing on the rear boot and as it was only 2-3 years old he took it back to the supplying dealer to get them to fix it. They agreed but when he got the car back, on running his hand down the paint found a dry, dusty matt finish all over the paintwork which felt like over spray. He called the dealer to explain and they agreed to sort it out for him by carrying out a "high gloss polish". They also agreed to touch in a couple of stone chips that I pointed out to him before we did the car first time around.
How nice of them he thought, but this is DW so we know it doesn't end there :D
He got the car back and called me to say it really didn't look good and could I please take a look to see if it could be saved again. I agreed and got him to pop down to the unit a few weeks back only to see the whole car covered in holograms, buffer trails and swirls galore.
Here's how it started
The deep cleaning was undertaken with snow foam, hand wash with Gliptone wash n glo, iron-x, tardis and clayed with Bh regular with some shampoo and water mixed. The wheels were cleaned with Gliptone total tyre and rim cleaner with various brushes. The roof was gently cleaned with Surf city's hood cleaner and towel dried followed by warm air blower to get it as dry as possible. The car was dried with Elite car care Uber towels and then taken indoors.
The roof was treated with GTechniq I1 to add some protection and then masked up to avoid getting any polishing dust on it.
Here's a few pics of the car before any polishing
Few light swirls visible here
Holograms
More holograms / buffer trails down the doors
Polishing wise I set about the car with Scholl S17+ and an Elite Hex White pad which gave some really good correction
More 50/50's
Even from this distance you can clearly see the difference

After this the car was refined all over with Scholl S40 and Blue Hex Logic pad, the tape was all then removed and a final wipedown with Eraser was carried out.
LSP was FK1000p to give it some good protection over winter, even though he usually only uses the car in nice weather it's a good all rounder! Tyres dressed with Gliptone Tyre and Trim Jelly, exhausts with Autosol and Glass with Meg's Glass concentrate.
Here's the after shots, apologies for the sheer amount but I couldn't stop taking pics - This came out as close to perfect as I believe I could have achieved so I was really pleased with the car.
Just to give a better idea of the finish I thought I'd do a quick walk around with my Phone camera so you can see the flake pop and condition of the paint work once fully corrected.
You'll find it goes out of focus a few times so I had to keep the phone still and let it re-focus.
